Au bout des Rêves jewellery combines French art and history in a way that no one else can. The metal framework of this jewellery are brass stampings made from the original French moulds, still available in Paris, predominately from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods, while some are from the rococo (think Marie Antoinette), Victorian and Edwardian periods. These classic French designs form the foundation for Au bout des Rêves's creations. Silver is layered over the brass stampings using a traditional French technique and much of the range comes beautifully enamelled with a kaleidoscope of colours and adorned with Swarovski crystals, beads or pearls. All work is done by hand so minor variations can be expected from piece to piece. Treasure these pieces and they will become heirloom items.
This workshop in central France was originally established by French artist Catherine Popesco in the 1970s and later sold to focus on her La Vie Parisienne label in the USA. After a recent haitus, the workshop reopened under new management in early 2017.
